So I’ve been doing “So Your Kid Dragged You To Anthrocon” at AC for well over a decade, and once at MFF. Used to do the “Under 18 furs” at AC, though I’ve stepped back from that a bit in the last few years due to the calendar. But between that, the Creating a Fursona panel I did at MFF this last year, and my own explorations on how I got here in this community, I feel I may have stumbled tail backwards into being a furry out reacher. Somehow.
This wouldn’t be an immediate thing, but I was considering maybe leveraing my perspective on this to help parents who have kids like this, except haven’t decided on attending a con yet. Let’s be honest, talking to parents already at the con is Easy Mode anyways. And I would’ve appreciated more help when I had to come to my parents about this in the aughts, hot on the heels of the infamous CSI episode.
Something to consider long term.
